Description
‘Valley of Dreams’ was written initially after reading this is an arts and crafts book. The vision of having a valley where all your secrets, mystical and magical dreams are accessible became a very powerful theme to work with. The composition written for piano is based on a simple melody which is very memorable and easy to remember.
I directed this short film with the idea of entering in and out of that dream state of mind. You can see the beautiful valley which is filled with the beauties of nature and is a place where the character finds different gifts and objects which enhance the almost intangible untouchable and often obscure aspects that dreams sometimes leaves you feeling. The character is freed to dance entering a dream state in the valley wearing a Venetian mask, and is drawn to a nearby forest where she finds a transparent glass ball that reflects the hidden magic and secrets within which may offer a sense of good luck, charm and wonder. ‘Valley of Dreams’ is not only a concept and theme but is also a place you can go to be inspired by and draw upon to fill you with hope, creativity and wonder.
