World Premier of new commissioned work in Dublin

PhamieEarlier in March, Phamie was invited to give a lecture on composing and about her approach to composing to the under graduate students of The Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) in Dublin. Off the back of this, she was given a commission by current artist in residence Imogen Gunner , as part of Dublin City Council’s Artist Residency Programme, to write a new work. This new work, entitled ‘Celtic Threads’, will be given its world premier in Dublin at The RIAM on the 22nd of April. This will be programmed alongside the new works of the composition students and will be performed by Phamie herself and some of Ireland’s finest celtic traditional/classical musicians.
